Best tactic is to let you offense occupy the empy field spaces of you opponents defense and match your defense with your opponents offense.

So in a 4-1-2-1-2 diamond, occupy the red stripes:

    ----ST-----ST----
    -------AMC-------
    ----MC-----MC----
    -------DMC-------
    DL--DC-----DC--DR

Your formation should look some thing like:

    --------ST--------
    ---AMC----AMC---
    --------MC--------
    DML----DMC----DMR
    ----DC--DC--DC---

    Red-arrowing your DML and DMR

    Or

    --------ST--------
    ---AMC----AMC---
    ML-----MC-----MR
    -------DMC-------
    ----DC--DC--DC---

    @Helder You had luck.

I wanted to use 3n1411 but I had a lot of injured players so used AMR instead of MR. Use red arrows if you use ML/R, no arrows if AML/R. mixed passing, focus gameplay through wings, maybe offside trap

    Hi, as you can see I was down 1-0 Half time, and I switched from 4 1 3w 2 - to 3 5 1 V - Attacking , Both Flanks, Hard .

that or my team had a very good pep talk from the trainer on half time

Well, 4-5-1 V style worked for me : I won 3-1 against a slightly stronger opponent, with defensive, down both flanks, hard tackling and force counter.

Counter against 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond-top11-cupmatch5.jpgI lost in cup first leg to a much weaker team Narow Diamond, with me playing 3N-1-3w-1-2. Now I will have 3 games in a row against ND, 2 with weaker teams, including decisive cup second leg, but 1 with a slight stronger one. Pls advise me about 3-5-2V considering my team. Thanks very much!

Attack down the flanks, short passing, own half pressing, hard tackling, zonal marking. Counter off, offside off. Red arrows on AML/R, blue arrow on DMC.

Thanks! From your experience, it will work better after a few games with this tactic? I lost 0-1 to a 3-5-2 team, about 4 point weaker and I didn't quite mattered in the game. Not enough shots and really uninspired strikers. No moral or condition issues.
