    Lightbulb 4-4-2 strange

    Hello,

    I'm a beginner so please help me this time ...my next opponent have a better team but somehow a strange formation:

    4-4-2 strange-442.jpg

    Since i play for like 3 days i don't have a good team ..so i was thinking to use a strange tactic too:

    4-4-2 strange-my-own.jpg

    - orders will be to attack on the right flank, red arrows on AMR and ST

    What do you think and what are you suggestions ?

    Thank you

    Play 451v normal mentality, down both flanks, own half, mixed passing, yes to counter attack.

    Red arrows on dl dr ml mr and blue on dmc.

    And I just noticed you dont have an aml to play 451v.

    or else, you can try 442 ND normal mentality, passing through the middle, own half, tackling normal, short passing and yes to counter attack. Red arrows on amc and st's and blue on dmc.

    st st
    amc
    mc mc
    dmc
    dl dc dc dr

    Best of luck!

    I'm sorry for the constant re-edit, because there are many Good Managers on this board, so I better do my best and give good advice, they WILL pick me to pieces, if I don't. Well Judge for yourself.

    Before we get into formations, why do you have so many injuries? Are you killing them with over training or play 'Easy tackle' against equal or stronger team? If so, DON'T, just play every player at least once a day; competition, friendlies or practice match. If the player only plays once a day then just normal train him cardio once and stretch once or twice, you're good, till the next days match or matches.

    As for why his is playing a strange formation, he has NO DL, not a genius manager move, just using what he has. DO NOT follow suit!

    4-5-1 V-style is great, BUT you don't have a AML! Narrow Diamond 4-1-2N-1-2 is killer attack, BUT again you are missing one DL.

    So really from your screenshot play a 4-1-2N-1-2;

    _____GK______
    DL__DC_DC__DR ...... I know DL is injured too, just put the DR/DMR at DL !
    _____DMC_____ <= Down Blue, yes outta of position DML or DMR.
    ____MC_MC____
    _____AMC_____ <= Up/Red
    ____ST__ST____

    He is lobsided and a MC is out of position at the back, you will get possession bonus for that!
    Attack always attack, {Attack, Up Middle, Own, Normal/Hard, Mix, Zonal}
    No offsides, I always Counter (up to you)

    Option 2

    _____GK______
    ___DC_DC_____
    DML______DMR <= down/blue
    ML_MC__MC_MR <= Up/red the wings
    _____________
    ___ST__ST____

    Strange but none of your players are out of position, you will definitely get some possession advantage with this! Orders {Attack, DBF/Mix, Own, Normal/Hard, Mix, Zonal} No off, counter.

    He looks just from the screenshot stronger than you, good luck..... Peace.

    First thank you guys for helping me

    Now:
    1. over training problem -> I've tried options on the training system...and played some friendlies in the same day (without reading ...i've thought that friendlies games don't add fatigue on players) ...well now i know )

    2. My DL is up today ...i've put him in the screenshot because i knew he will be ready today

    3. I don't think it's ok to open a new topic to clarify the following:

    - how much it influence getting red/blue arrows on the players ? ...does we know some percents of the gain players have?

    - can someone explain me when short /long passes should be used ? ...i assume long balls should be played when i'm facing a strong team at middle but i haven't found that in documentation yet.

    - force counterattacks ... from my point of view this should be used if i use a defensive team (ex: 4-5-1, 5-4-1, 4-3-2) ....am I wrong ?

    - what's important when i'll choose free-kick takers ? Pass, crossing and shoot ...or should i just sort by Attacking skills and choose the players with best average?
    - is the same for corners ?

    In my oppinion
    - free-kick takers should be better at: crossing and shoot
    - corners should be executed by the best crossing skilled player

    Best regards

    Over Training You need to be careful while planning your training. Better don't over train your players who regularly features in your first team and can do power training on those who are on sub or reserves (But don't overdo it). You can customize your training by defining the intensity of each player. Friendly match are a good way to understand your team strength and weakness and to prepare your team formation to counter particular attack plus you get some bonuses in form of rest, morale boosters & treatments. You can open any new topic you wish to pertaining to top eleven. We believe in democracy!

    Red and Blue arrows do have a impact. For ex if you are playing wing based formation like 442, 541V, 352v... putting red arrows on wingers and st helps them to get better ratings.

    Yes you are right while playing defensive or normal mentality use counter attack options.

    If you have a special ability in a player like free kick specialist, corner specialist or penalty specialist assign them a designated role. In case you don't have a player with special ability then your though process is right. You have a player Gokhan in your team who is corner specialist place him in corner kick order section.

    And Philip is so right.
