Against a kind of N Diamond.

Hi my friends
I had a match in the CUP with an opponent LV5 who played with this system.



His Q a little bit higher but I had possession (he wasn't present). I played like if he had a diamond but a bit more attacking. Orders Att/flanks/half/normal/mix/zonal, 2 red arrows to AML,AMR and two blue arrows to DMC and c DC. Would it be better to play (out in the 2nd round) 4-5-1 defending/counter ? Why to use 4 defenders (like against a ND) if his main power is in the middle ? Whats the purpose of DL & DC ?

For me 4-1-3w-2 & 4-1-3w-1-2-1 always had good results angainst 4-4-2nd. I dont have faith on 4-5-1v enen many says is the best to counter nd. Καλή Επιτυχία φιλαράκι.

almost all the threads I read are saying to play with wings (AMR-AML or MR-ML red arrows) against a ND.
My opponents formation is like a diamond style. I am sure that with DMC-MC-2AMC-2ST his orders are "from the middle".
So why I spend a DL and a DR instead of a 3(DC)-2-2-2-1 or 3(dc)-1-2-2-2 more attacking ?

Why not a 3-1-5-1 ? Why put DL and DR ? His power is from the center ...

V formation seems appropriate or a solid 4-1-4-1 for that extra midfield control.

Even if his power is from the center, his defense can still get through your flanks (I've experienced it many times).

I can do both because I have MR/AMR and ML/AML (also DC/DR,DC/DL and DC/DMC)
As I can guess from his games in 1st round (he won 7-0, 9-0) and from his profile , he 'll start attacking, so I would think playing 4-1-4-1 def, wings, long pass, counter, with red arrows in MR,ML . What would you say pal ?

Don't know about long pass, I think they get intercepted by DMCs/AMCs. Try a mixed passing just to be sure. For the rest, I agree, seems like the strategy to go for.

A blue arrow on DMC or maybe in one of the MCs would help ? because he has 2 AMC ...
or maybe in one DC I have with sa DW ...

If you have 3 DC, why blue arrow on DMC? He has DC behind him...
I use blue arrows on 2 DC and leave middle DC without arrows.
