Leaving current association to join a new one

Hi Guys, on what day of the season could I leave my current association (hopefully still picking up any tokens we earned) and join a new one. You don't get the association tokens till Sundays, but do you have to leave and join a new association before then to qualify for that season?

the best time to join a new association is before the 1st week association matches draw is made. That's before Friday. Day 5/28. Once the draw been made, and you join an association after it, you won't get be getting any token for the rest of the season.
