UNseen unread messages on smartphone

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and regularly use Top Eleven purely on this mobile. I was finding continuously that there were messages that were being highlighted in the main menu for Messages that there was an uread message. When i went into the Messages section, I could not find any unread messages.

I just logged onto Facebook and then Top Eleven, and found the unread messages. Is anyone else getting problems with being unable to see unread messages on their mobile?
