It is hard, but the game does this after you have been in debt too long. There is no way to stop it once he is put up for sale. :( When you go into debt to buy a player, or for whatever reason, the game gives you 7 days to fix, after that it *will* fix by selling off your guys, and very unfortunately it starts with the most expensive!
