Sell players but cash does not increase :(

After selling a lot of player, I finally noticed that my cash did not increase at all (I lost around 300M). Is this a bug? The cash got stuck at 2.15B. You can see this in the attached images.

maximum amount you can have is 2.15 billion

Yep, unfortunately there is a limit of how much $$ you can have.

From what I hear though for many managers, as you level up this is less of a problem because salaries are so high.
