Third instead of second place in Champions League

Hallo at all

Today I have completed the Champions League group with same points with other team. I did more goals and I have a best goals difference, but I got third place instead of second. My team is Milan City FC and this is my screenshot:

Champions League group stage doesn't count goal difference as a priority, but result between teams which have same number of points. It is confusing because league counts GD as priority while CL doesn't. He must have been better in matches against you, that's why he is 2nd.
