Auto Assign doesn't work correctly.

So I have been playing on the app, and selected that I want points to go to just to defense...
and 2 have gone to attack!!

On my DC.


And I am *certain* the little text said finishing and the other time passing.
My player started at 141.2 133.2 143.2 and is now 141.8 133.6 143.2

GRRR another went to attack. pfui. dribbling...

and one went to passing on a player that only had physical selected.

Reallly unimpressed with Auto Assign.
If I have to select beforehand where the points should go... they should go there!!!

I have assigned skill points to go to atttack for two ST of mine. One is always getting attack as expected but the other one also takes defence sometimes. OK then, it is obvious that auto assign is not working as expected and there is an algorithm for some players to raise skills that are not assigned by the manager (like the example above). But what is the criteria? How can I know in advance if auto assign will work as expected for a specific player?

There is a rule where a player can't be more than 20 points better in one area than the other.

For example, if your Defence on a player says 34 and your attack says 54 then the next point that is given will go to Defence (or Physical) as if it goes to attack it breaks the 20 point difference. Once your lowest area is back within 20, then you can increase the other area again.

Its not that, I have had the same issue with players too.

I posted about this way back when the app came out and Nordeus Admin/Beta Testers (can't remember who) came said Focus achieves Manual Assign - and I tested again at the time and it didn't.

Most of the SP follows focus but not all. I still get passing, dribbling etc on my Defence & Physical focussed players. So I can confirm its not 100% effective and its nothing to do with maximum allowed skewing. ;) But I can not confirm if its a bug or intended that focus = most - unless Nordeus actually came out and said what is intended

Edit: If it helps here's what I did initially below - did a bigger test with more SP and posted with similar conclusion but I can't find it and cba looking.

Auto Application of SP

I decided to apply a 'focus' on mobile on faster trainers prior to my Cup match to see if this acted as a 'guide' for the Auto-apply.

DL/DC, focussed on Defence gain 1 SP which was applied to Defence;
DC/DMC focussed on Defence gained 2 sp which was applied to Physical;
AMR/AMC, focussed on Attack gained 1 sp which was applied to Attack;
GK, focussed on Defence gained 1 sp which was applied to Attack.

Not the result I had hoped for. Obviously I need more info on how its supposed to work.

Here are some pics taken from today's Match regarding Focus' lack of Focus.

In the first you will note that Gordon and Jackson gained growth in attacking and Morrison in Defending. Pics 2, 3 and 4 show their current Focus settings.

This was ofc provided in the Feedback to the initial launch of 2015 but obviously there is a bit of a hiccup between feedback given and received.
