Can anyone explain how this level 20 manager (I'm the level 21 manager) can bid for my 5 star player through auction? Surely he would be 6 stars for the level 20 and out of his search range.

In what position he finished ?
Some times the game promote player to higher level league (or promote from 8th position).
Am I misunderstanding or are you saying he could be Level 20 manager in a Level 21 league?
This was today, so surely that is his new level (again, unless I'm misunderstanding).
