Network Connection Issue

Even since the new update earlier this month, I have been facing an issue where a pop up comes out telling that there is a network connection problem and whether I wish to reconnect. This happens very very frequently on my phone (OS is Android 6.0.1) and at times of Facebook as well. As we all can see a lot of players have reported the issue on Play Store. I would like to know what action have been taken in order to solve the issue and when can we expect the game to start working the way it should be?
