Since the League competition would have started on the next day the fixtures are not yet updated. Even so the next match is for the League competition and the Home Screen's job is to notify you about it non the less. Even though the match is due for the next day.
The full list of fixtures is released at the 3rd day of every new season though. But if your next match is due for the next day the home screen will notify you of this so you can prepare.
In other words it's not a bug, just the way the Home Screen works. The idea is for this system to retain functionality even though the full list is not yet released. :)
Is the draw already happened on Sunday, Day 1, or even on Monday, Day 2?
Sunday
