By relationship you mean "association" ..
There's a bug there, has been there for while, and when there's a draw who wins in the penalty kick round, finally loses....
I know that it is frustrating, in our asociation we had this experience too, and this has been reported several times but, still this issue needs a deep fix.
Submit a report and they might give you 10 tokens if you’re lucky. This is the usual Associations bug, well known.
Very well known. Happened to us trillions of times.
