It's ridiculous, I didn't want to be promoted. Clearly this is done on purpose that you will keep spending tokens, which I won't be doing.

Is there any way to ask TopEleven to relegate me to the previous level, or should I just lose all games this season to ensure I'm not promoted again?

Next time make sure you finish last in the league. It doesn't guarantee you anything but you will have a very good chance to not get promoted.
