Which formation should I take?

I need to beat a 4-4-2 classic
Also how do I set the orders? I was thinking about red arrows to both MC, and no counter, what do you think?

With two words...You must have at least 3 defenders (DL/DC/DR),or 3 DC's.You must have wings DL/DR ; DML/DMR ; ML/MR ; AML/AMR... At least one of them.On the second one that you post there are no wings.

Passing : Trough the middle
Pressing : whole pitch
Tackling : Normal
Focus pass : Short
Marking : Zonal

hmm...
the first one is not bad... better in attacking style with condition ure deffender faster than striker enemy and the enemy don't use their wings.
sometimes i used it too...

i try to give u a suggestion for an orders :
Orders :
Mentality : attacking
Passing : Down Both Flanks
Pressing : whole pitch
Tackling : Normal (if ure rating balanced with ure enemy/ "Hard" if u lower than them)
Focus pass : long
Marking : Zonal

check : Counterattack
