    What tactic works best!

All you managers out there I would like to know what works best for you?

    1. Keeping the same formation all season.
    2. Changing your formation to counter the opponent.

    This season I have used
14 different formations in league - final position 2nd
6 different formations in champions league - final position Champions
6 different formations in cup - final position play offs

My friend used the same formation all season & he won our league by 4 points - champions league runner up & cup never made it past the first 2 days.

On this basis it seams as though either way works just as well.

My default formation is the airplane. I usually start adapting it while the match is going on if needed.

I was similar to your friend, I stuck to 3-4-1-2 most of the season but on the rare occasion tried to counter my nearest rivals but it didn't always work. The best thing I can suggest is to find one formation that works best for you but always have a good back up plan.

agree. i played 5 season 4-4-2 and ONLY that. now started to mix, play often 4-5-1 V and 3N-1-4-2. I beleive even if it is an algoritam and not a real people, it takes some time for team to adapt on a new formation.

    I did that, I won that...blah-blah-blah...
