How to beat 3-4-2 , pls help ( last chance for cup )

Hey guys !

I've had my first cup game today but lost 1-2.The second game with this team is tomorrow night , but i don't know what to do , since they have beaten me playing with a GK as a DC and in team of 10 ! The guy has 3-4-2 formation .. i haven't seen only 10 players until today.

His overall quality is a lil better than mine. ( Im 16.6 , he is 17.4 )

What kind of formation is this ? And how can i beat it ? This is my last chance to play some more in the Cup .. :-< I would really be annoyed if i got out from the first leg :(

He has left the game. When you are playing against teams like that, check their formation when you are in the game to see what actual formation he is using. I suspect he is using 442.

when i click the score from the game , the formation he had was 3-5-2 .. and i was 4-4-2 .. was that a mistake from me ? I reaaallly need to beat them ..

oh okay. Try 3N52 back at him. Whole pitch pressing until you get the first goal.

Ok , i will try that.But i've got 3 players out of their positions ( ML-MC , DL-DC , DC-DR first is their position and after the position i put them )

And what do you mean until the first goal ? Until I score ? And then change to what ?

I would prefere 451v style, atacking both flanks or 43N2W1

Um.. try not to play players outta position. Play your best player rather than play the formation.

Do you have a screenshot of your players ratings?

Yes whole pitch pressing would allow your 2 strikers to press on his DC to steal the ball of him for a goal scoring chance. But it tires the players so don't use it for the whole match.

That would work against a 3N defence but with a 3W defence, it is a perfect opportunity to play 2 strikers to abuse his 1 DC.

Well, you'll have to play it as 352 then. But you need to sort out your players because if you keep playing them out of position, their morale will go down.

Play Vechiu against his lowest defence MC and your highest defence MC against his highest offence MC. Also, play your 4 star striker on his strongest leg. So if he is right footed, play him on the right.

I would suggest you sell one of your GK as you don't need 3 GK. Your 4 strikers are good. Should buy at least 2 DMC, preferably players that plays DMC/DC. You also need two more DC and a DL. So see if you can get 2 DMC/DC.

Right now, I wouldn't even be concerned about games and what not but getting a good group of players together. You should try to keep a squad of 21 players.

If you have no money, buy free transfers but at this time, it might be hard since these next few days everybody is chasing to buy players.

ok , i've set the formation for tonight .. 3-5-2 with my best MC ( which is ML ) against his best player , which is MR.Also my best ST against his weakest DL.I hope i'll win .. i didn't put my players to much for training today so i could have 80-90 condition for all of them tonight .....1-2 is not a hard defeat to turn around .. thanks for the help guys .. if you have any other suggestions , they will be highly appreciated .. like red/blue arrows on players and what not ..

You shoukd play your best mc against his weakest player not the best. You should calculate it so that your players play at 99 condition for the start of the match. 80-90 is too low.
