The first one is illegal, only two defenders. The second one, I usually play with 3 defenders (DC) gand 5 midfilders against very defensive formations, because I can have a lot of posession and more opportunities to win; I never use attacking mentality in these cases to avoid opponent CA, this kind of players usually choose defensive with CA.

Ok, I misunderstood your post. Your second option is OK, in my opinion. Another option: 4 (DR-DC-DC-DL)-1-3N-2 to dominate the cente and gain possesion. Depends on the quality of your players, choose the option with the best average. Good luck!

I've drawn 1-1 with him using my second option. I am also second in ranking behind him with same point but he got a better goal difference. I think he will win the league. Thanks Cholo.
