Are these two formations strong?

Hey guys! I had met with a problem. This guy which is in the same league as me is playing with either these two formations. I am thinking of playing 3-5-2 flat or 4-1-4-1 to counter his formations but I would really welcome recommendations on how to counter his formations. Any ideaAttachment 16331Attachment 16332s? I would play 3-1-5-1 against him. Defensive with long passes. Good luck
