3n-1-3n-2(aml/amr)-1
Thanks Boros.
I bet your suggestion would have worked but I was worried about leaving my wings open. I went with a butterfly (defensive with counter). I got a 1:3 away win in the cup.
This is the first time I used this formation. It was interesting to see combination play between the wings on one side (AML and DML for example). This kind of passing is very common in real life football but I haven't seen it in top eleven much.
For reference I'll put my exact formation and orders below.
------ST------
AML--------AMR
---MC----MC---
DML--------DMR
---DC-DC-DC---
defensive, mixed, own, normal, short, zonal, yes force counter, no offside trap
