Is Narrow Diamond getting out of controll? (like 4-4-2 back in the day)

When i play vs ND, all my players get a -1(minus 1) rating compared to all the other games vs different formations, it doesn't matter if i play against a good or a bad team.
I use 4-1-3W-2, and change it to 4-5-1 V, in game. My normal formation is 4-1-4-1 [doesn't work:)]
Today i lost 2-1 away in CL vs a team similar to mine in quality, changing between this 2 formations.
And the first 2 matches i won 2-1 and 3-5, against bad teams. But very bad games! (yes, i have 3 ND's in my CL group)
V style is the old counter, and 4-1-3W-2 is the new one, but none of them work :))

Is this a problem for other "managers"?

I would really like to win the CL again, and i have the best team so far in the competition.
But there are sooooo many ND's in the leaue, some with decent teams.

So what have you used successfully, in the last season and this season?

I always use 352V Style Never had problems against ND

Strange one that bro i always use 4-1-3w-2 and have never had any problems against nd or had -1 rating was you away from home and did he have supporters ???

Never had a problem against narrow diamond
Play 3-4-1-2
or 4-3w-2-1 xmas tree against weaker teams.

Yes.... 3N-5-2 V style always works........ 4-5-1V used to work but has lost its touch and 4-1-3W-2 is still new counter and it has 50-50 chance. 3N-1-2N-2W-2(v style) covers ND properly. The 3 DCs are good enough for the 2STs and even the AMC and attacking MC. The DMC directly takes on the AMC which according to me is the heart of the ND. the 2 MCs equalize the opponents two MCs and the 2 wingers avoid the DMC and are good for attacking and feeding the STs. 2 STs are there against 2 DCs to finish things off. By using this formation u can go down the flanks and attack while ND comes through the middle and gets blocked your DCs and DMCs:D

but it seems that could be not enough mc`s,my dmc with only 3 stars. would it be enough?or better put one more mc with blue arrow instead dmc? and what is the best 3 dc`s or dl,dr,2dc for me?my attackers are good but they r not scoring enough and i dont know why no matter if i play with 2 or 1 st`s:(

A DMC is important because, as I stated, AMC is IMO the heart of the ND. U need a player to take him on face to face and restrict him so as to stop him from feeding the STs.

3N-1-2N-2W-2 works!!!! I won today against an equal Q opponent in cup and two of my three goals were scored by my AMR and my AML.

A good MC with blue arrow, changes the formation.
His AMC will be free, so i don't think that's a good ideea.

IMhO, the formation, is more important than the orders.
So go with what the "old timers" suggest.
Will try tomorrow, with the ND in CL, me 35 Q overall, him 33.9.
It will be a good test. And i'll post the screens, and explain the orders and changes.

How about 4-1-3n-2?

I have a new idea: 3n-1-3n-2w-1

You could go with 1 striker only and make a 3 man midfield to strengthen the centre of the park. In your situation I'd put blue arrows on all defenders and DM, none on midfielders or attacking players. Play Normal mentality in own half with counter down the wings. I agree with 3N at the back + 1dm as the ND is all through the middle. If you're still worried about th eDM position then you could play defensive and/or put an extra blue arrow on one or two of the mc's but this might restrict your forward play.

So, I watched, he didn't, but he had a supporter.
He scored in the first minute, and after my(only) substitution.
I scored from a 2x corner, and didn't score from the second 2x corner.
I substituted a ST, and in the time after i hit "save" to his substitution, he scored, and got injured :)

So the score without Nordeus bugs: 2-0 for me.
I think 3-5-2 V-style really works.

Don't think so.
You attack with 2 ST on 4 defenders.
You don't have superiority in the midfield.

3N-5V-2 works most of the time. Two seasons ago I lost 2 matches with 3N-5V-2 (normal, mixed poassing down both flanks, own half pressing) against 4-1-2-1-2s (equal level to 1* lower quality). The opponents probably played weird versions of it (red arrows on wing backs, long passing down both flanks or something like this), but against the standard version your system works.

I play most of the times assymetric systems when facing it now.

I was actually searching to find something else on this forum but your post got my attention and I logged in to reply for you. So yes, straight to the point. I believe you are right about the Narrow Diamond. I'm season 18/level 18 and so far I used the ND formation and won all but two leagues (ended 2 times 2nd). I lost matches, ofcourse, but no dramatically strange scores or things you sit and wonder about, supporting managers have better chances. From my personal experience I believe the ND formation is the strongest on Top Eleven. I also believe there are plenty of you out there who wouldn't agree on this but also, I haven't seen a single team yet with the same percentage of no1 trophies as I have and numbers don't lie.

Not the same formation, as it has 2 ST's and only 2MC's not 3, but similar.

no referrals here

i also think that ND is one of the strongest and 'winnable" formations in the game,but i can say that some formations vs ND dont work so good in some servers or in some teams..I remember that 4-5-1V worked fine vs ND in my first seasons ,then 3-5-2V ..now both of them dont.

So my opinion is that their no magic formation vs ND and definetaly no magic vs any formation,,it depends on the trollness and randomcy of the game.
