well, id use attacking, down both flanks, mixed or short passing, hard/normal tackling, zonal, own half, no counter and no offside. arrows on ML/MR and both STs

i have played with 4-4-2 so many times and have won a number of matches with it. i used red arrows for the MC's and blue for the DC's. my orders were attacking, mixed, whole pitch, normal, mixed, zonal.

I prefer normal, whle pitch press
Start with red arrows on wingers

If I happen to watch, I
Remove red arrows if losing possession or opponent keeps pressing
Add red arrows on DR/DL if winning possession or my team keeps pressing

Change to short passing if his DMC is busy blocking shots & passes

Down both flanks for centric teams or those playing DMCs
