I always us 4-2-3-1 and it has paid dividend for me...

I've played it some (you could have added a few BVB matches to yer list, seen it plenty in RL) but I only have some middling success with it, if my striker's having a poor day it's a loss. But, I could have tactics/orders wrong.

4-2 MC-AML-AM-AMR-ST
Then 2 Blue arrows on MC's
or 4-4-1-1 with red arrows on ML and RM and blue arrows on MC's and AM
this way you get the same effect
