Strange tactic

Whats wrong with this tactic. I see this first time and i have no idea how i can counter this:

Stop worrying about what formation to use!, as long as your team is better or around the same quality as his then you have as good a chance with any formation really!.The way I see it is he has a strong defence and attack but is very narrow on the flanks going forward, so a simple 4-4-2 or 3-1-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 should be adequate to deal with his formation.
