Unhappy Countering 3N-4-3 advice from managers?

    Hi managers,

Just faced a team with 3N-4-3 formation with 2 qualities lower than me. Referenced the counter table, and used 4-3N-2W-1 (motivated wingers) but lost 3-0.

Gonna have to beat him at least 3-0 to win. Any recomendation? Thanks!!

3-4-3 can not be countered with 4-3-2W-1 as 1 lone st (even with supports from 2 wingers) is not enough to put pressures on the 3 dcs line. A motivated formation btwn 4-4-2 Classic and Hexagon with 4-3-1 winger and 2 STs will be ideal to counter 3-4-3. (Ml,mc,Mc, Amr or vice verse), focus mixed, own half, mixed passing, red arrows on 2 Sts so the 3 dcs will play under hard pressure and the lone winger will be the key-player of the match with cut inside situation and long shots. Good luck

Hi Gohannie, since he doesn't have any DMs, attacking with an AM would make sense. I have not used informal formations before (because I see players with informal formation tend to lose a lot in most matches).
Was thinking of 4-4-2 ND or 4-4-2C, or Hexagon. What if that "Winger" is actually a central attack? 4-3W-1-2?

in this case, You can call my proposed formation half hexagon half 4-4-2 classic, as you still have 1 AMrL (R), beside the 3 flat midfielders, and yes 4-2-2-2 hex shall be the best choice but not safest one since your opponent plays with the flat 4. Let make it simple like: use 4-4-2 classic but with 1 winger upfront (without arrow). Clear now?
For centre attack, as your rival uses 3 centre defender. It is ok for 4-3-1-2 but not the best choice. as amc got block from middle dc and 3 Wide mids seems to get lost with the flat 4.

As a closure for this thread, the opponent had changed to 3N-4-1-2 formation. As usual, July Forth's table was referenced, and I fought it with a 4-1-2-1-2 ND, and later switched to 3N-1-4-2, Arrows (wingers, defenders) and tactics all as advised, lost 3-2, aggregate 6-2.

The amusing thing about this (which I realize), this opponent is 2 quality lower, and I have hit him with counter formations, and stronger players, but I still lost. I understand troll matches, but loosing to the same opponent twice (and he wasn't even watching the match), I doubt its a troll match, which also means he probably knew something that I dont know about not needing to counter any formation, tactics will do.

I also realize its not really about the players, I have aerial defenders, 1-on-1 SA, 1-on-1 Keeper, Free Kick SA, Corner SA and a Shadow Striker. He only has a Corner specialist. Somehow my 7* ST did not even score any goals, whilst his 4* AMC had 2 goals.

Is there a certain secret about arrows and tactics that some ppl know?
