Are you saying your playing DL,DC,DC,DR,AML,MC,MC,AMR, ST ST or are you playing DL,DC,DC,DR,AML,AMC,AMC,AMR,ST,ST ? as as common standard 4-4-2 is DL,DC,DC,DR,ML,MC,MC,MR,ST,ST!, with that I would play red arrows on all midfield and strikers, attacking , mixed passing, close down own half, hard tackling, mixed style passing , zonal marking , play offsides, but if your playing AML,AMC,AMC AMR, ST,ST then you will need to be a bit more defencive because you have so many players in advanced areas you will be prone to counter attacks and offsides, so Normal tackling, normal attack with the option to change to hard attacking later!, also it depends on the formation your playing against!.

    4-5-1 V is as below:

    MR-MC-MC-ML
    -----DMC-----
    ---MC--MC---
    AMR------AML
    ------ST-----

I guess you could call it that, but a lot of people talk about it as 4-5-1 V-style, as opposed to 4-5-1 flat. I guess it doesn't really matter what you call it, so long as people understand.
