3defender formation

Hey. I have an incredible talented offensive line, last year level 8 scored 140 goles so i decided this year play with only 3 defenders. I. Play them wide with a dmc above n he has blue arrows. As i play them wide i assume they cover the flanks in case oponent uses amr o aml. If i use 3 central defender my flanks are blank so i need use additional dml and dmr, is correct? So i think wide better? Pressing full pitch, if my defender stronger i use man man marking ofside trip no counter. Is this correct?

looks good to me. You are using 1 or 2 DMCs?

I use only one as i play 3 wide defenfer i think its ok, and as he got blue arrows i think enough. Out of cup already guess formation need time, but league 2 victorys n champions 1 victory. So i need observe more games i think, u recomend 2dmc?

Cause i play 2 striker and amc, if use 2dmc i need put out a striker o the amc, don't know if that's good then as 3defender is made for guys with a better offense quality i think. And my left right midfielder are both dml n dmr as well so if i play against teams with no wingers i keep them in the midfield, sometimes blue arrows, if i face wingers i put them back as defensive midfield player n use just 1 CM and 1AMC N Two striker. Well that's the theory haha

If it works for you thats fine, but I feel like if you only have 1 DMC and 1 DC, you are leaving yourself open to an attack through the middle

agreed wth the last coment , ull be very vulnerable in the middle playing wth just a dc and dmc , whennever i see opponents playing like tht i attack through middle and keep smashing, maybe another dmc would help , its still more offensive thn antther dc i guess so.. :s

Hi bud, I use 3w -1dmc aswell but with different orders, I use close down own half as this saves players energy, I have no arrows on my defenders but red on my DMC as I like him to help my attack line up, I use zonal marking, play offsides and when im playing opponents better or near to my quality I play force counter attacks, attacking, mixed focus, hard tackling, mixed style.
What you are playing is fine if it works for you! (if its not broken dont fix it), but if you do want to try something different my way works aswell.

It was a mistake play pressing own half with 3defender,i won the mach because of my goalkeeper, who eversince i play 3defenders makes a lot of safes, i think u need a good keeper if play like that. Thanks to my offense line i came from behind but i switch again to pressing all pitch, better for 3defender as u dont want the opponent gets too many chances
