The first player not on his starting 11 will play instead.

So in this case the S1 is a goalkeeper!? Will the GK replace the AMC?

Just prepare for the match as if the best player he has available for that slot is in it. If its someone else its a bonus. :D
If he have auto subs selected it Will be replaced fir that player, otherwise Will be replaced for the 1st player of the subs list not being a GK.
normaly S1 but If there is a GK, it Will enter S2.
The game didn't show what happened just showed the suspended player… Won 1-0 so no complaints :-)
