I'm playing a guy who uses the dreaded 4-2-2-2 hexagon:
goalie
RB-CB-CB-LB
CM-CM
RAM-----LAM
ST---ST
I tried using 4-5-1V vs this team (who is as strong as me) before but it didn't work. Only 1-1 at my arena.
NBow it's time for the away game and I thought I'd ask for some advice. Please don't rfer me to the counterformation thread coz i've tried that one many times and it usualy doesn't work.
Actually 3N-4-1-2 works perfectly (and it is in that thread).

what kind of orders should i employ? i am the away team so im guessing Normal instead of Attacking mentality is good when trying to attack through the middle?
Short or mixed passing?
Should i force counterattacks?
Well, when I play 3N-4-1-2 (almost always) and need to win I set attacking mentality, whole pitch press, force counterattacks and everyhting else just default.
aha i see, so you choose to play Mixed as to where the passing should go, not through the middle?
And how does that work out against teams as good as you?
I won hexagon with 3w-1-4-2 :D

Edit: 3W-1-4-2 may be even better if DMC an MCs go back to help defend.

It's also very much depend on the quality of your team vs ur opponent...tactics is 1 thing but if your team so much weaker than just pray is the best solution...just joking...anyway...nice weekend!Quote:
