4-1-2W-1-2 unbeatable formation

Hi y'all
For some reason it seems everyone ignores the 4-1-2W-1-2 formation? I am playing a 4-5-1 V style at lvl 2 with a very strong team (27 average). I have players at scout lvl too. That formation seems to beat me almost all the time. Moreover, it equals/dominates me during matches, even when my team, quality is higher significantly.

Can someone refer me to a counter formation against this devilish 4-4-2 wide (and weird) diamond formation? I must win!!

Team Info:
Orders: Attacking mentality, Mixed passing down both flanks(devastating wingers), tackling whatever, pressing own half with counter attacks (which dies not seem to profit much rather than fatigue). Zonal marking of course
Arrows: AML/AMR both UP

how about 4-1-3w-2?

do you mean: 4 Defenders, 1DMC, 3MC 2 ST with no wings?

Nope, 3W = 3 Wide = ML MC MR

Found this tough to beat also but i played 3-5-2 flat att,flanks,whole pitch,normal mixed and smashed it 4-1 twice this season and won league

4-5-1 V beat you ;)

I normally use 4-1-4-1 with a defensive mentality and down the wings and it seems to work for me.

I used a weird formatin against it and it worked.I used the 3-3-3-1 formation and it worked but my favorite formation is the 3-5-1-1 formation normal tackling,mixed passing,whole pitch, play offside trap,man-to-man.i love this formation because i always score at least 2 goals, dominate in tackling and get barly any fouls plus your shot percentage gets really good.You can also attack hard in this formation if your mc are really good.

Seems like u are also having problem with wide diamond :( I tried 4-1-3-2 as we'll and got defeated..have u discovered any effective counter? Thanks

I think that a diamond formation 4-1-2-1-2 can work... did you proved it?

We have another recent topic on the 4-4D-2: http://forum.topeleven.com/formation...p-opinion.html ; I made some comments there. This is one of my favorite formations as it's equally as hard to counter as a 4-4-2 or 4-5V-1.

To counter 4-1-2W-1-2, try using 4-1-3N-1-1 (3MC), I used hard attacking through the middle and had won 3 times this season 4-1, 4-1, 2-0.

The wide diamond is a strong wing based formations a V killer, I would play Narrow Diamond fight fire with fire, It's weak down the middle and a ND is one of the strongest attack formation, lets see who scores more.

Not in my experience playing a wide diamond. Faced narrow diamond plenty and even stronger teams lost :)

Went straight 4-4-2 (Blue arrows dc's red on dl, dr ml, mr,) 4-0 up on 52 mins changed to 3-5-2 as most say go with. (blue on DC's, kept red on MR/ML. Finished 6-0, but 4 goals second half).
Mentality normal, passing mixed, pressing -own half, tackling hard, passing style mixed, marking zonal, force counters. 0-6 away from home I was happy.
