May be your opponent had played defensive with counter. May be he had outcountered your attacking mentaly.
Thats can be the reason why you lost to a weaker opponent. I think when at first sight is clear that your team is better and you think you will win for sure go for normal mentaly. No need for attacking. Ok more goals but like in this case you dont know the orders of your opponent.
With this strategy its not possilble to be outcoutered by a weak opponent. And quality matter a lot. If you dont go for strange orders you will win for sure.
