A very upsetting 0-1 home defeat behind, I need your help with this weird 3-2-2-2-1 diagonal formation in my cup's round 2 match. He is very strong on both DR/DL and midfield, rather defensively, most likely to counter attack.

First match I tried to crack him with an good old 4-5-1V Style defensive-countering, but after he scored a goal around halftime, I decided to switch to a cheeky 3-3-2W-2 attacking (all down left flank) formation, but his poorest defender rescued him the win by stopping on each attack...

Of course, I need a 2-0 away win, that will be hard enough. So idea would be a 4-2-3-1 attacking hs "weak" left flank.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would use a 4-1-4-1 formation to try and control possession, but I lose against this kind of weird formations all the time, so take heed!
