how to counter 3N-5-1-1?

Hi,

I will play against 3N-5-1-1. On table of counter formation there is 4-1-2-1-2 ND for it. But i don`t understand why 4-5-1V is not better or something else with wingers if the oponent has 3 CD. Why to atack him where is the strongest, on central?

Please explain me :)

U hv a point there. 4-5-1v does sound like a better counter. Table of counterformation is only there for guide and was based on what worked from other guys previously. Maybe 442ND worked because of a good amc and no dmc to mark him. So if u got good aml and amr should be better.

I suggest using 4-5V-1, down both flanks.
