How to beat 5-1-1-1-2? Cup - Last16

Hello,

in the cup I am vs. a very strange formation. The guy usually wins his games with 5:0 and higher. Qualitywise his team is 0.4 better than me.

I check his history in the cup and he lost a game home once 2:3 vs. 4-4-2. But on the other hand he won the game away vs. the same team 6:0. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Should I postpone the league game I have 3 hours before the cup game?

3n-5-2 v style can work, just make sure you defend through the middle and attack down the flanks

Cannot believe I lost this game (and my DMC) while watching with two friends. -.- MY DMC spit!!! on another player and got a red card. Unbelievable! We blocked the free kick but the corner they got immediately afterwards got them a goal. -.- After my DMC got the red card I put one of the MCs into the middle but well, I lost. -.-

You should try 4-3-3 next time, a solid midfiled and a large attack, long pass to try jump his defensive line, your 3 mc's should eat his loner...

long ball is not a good idea. long passing is for jumping the midfield line, not the defensive line.
