illegal formatons

i playes normal formations with very strong team for a long time and loosed everything important. and **** matches won by 10 goals.
now i am plaing illegal formation and winning all important games against strong opponents.
so what is wrong on illegal formations ?

here is the formation i am using:

i used before 4-4-2, then 4-1-2-1-2 diamond, then 4-1-3(midfields)-2
all for long time with no results and constantly loosing to all strong opponent - strong mean around same level as i.
that was all with team full of scouts

Who told you it was illegal and what did they say?

To be legal, a formation must have:
- a goalkeeper, this goes without saying
- at least 1 ST
- at least 3 defenders
- at least 1 but not more than 2 players on each flank, so 1 or 2 players on each flank
- at least 4 players in the opponent's half, M row and ahead
- at least 1 midfielder (ML/MC/MR)
