Need Help for 4-5-1 V-Style

Hi guys,
I need little help for my formation.
I play 4-5-1 V-Style with the fallowing orders:
Defense/Normal - depends of the team
Mixed Passes
Down Both Flanges
Counter-Attack ON
Low Pressing
Normal Tackling
Zonal Marking
Offside trap OFF

Depends of the team which I will play I use Red or Blue arrows on DL/DR.
All of my players are 6 stars, only the ST is 7 stars, the normal MC ( without arrow) and the DR are 5 stars.
My balance so far is 22 wins / 2 draws / 7 losses.
It's not so bad. I use this formation from this season ( 17th).
The problem here is that I win against stronger teams, but loss against weaker teams. I'm already out from the Cup and CL in 1/16 finals.
In Cup I lost home game against team which is 99 rating ( i'm 106.5) 2:5. Any way I won the away game but it was not enough ( 1:3)
In CL I won the away game with 0:1, but lost the home game 1:2 against team with 103 rating ( both teams use 3-4-3).
In League I lost two tames against weaker team ( 103 rating, used 3-4-3 against).
From the above I see that there is a weakness against 3-4-3.
Is there a way to avoid this, to change my tactic or the orders or idk ...

First of all let me tell you one thing before discussing tactics. Sticking to one formation and tactic is never a good thing. Top Eleven is a football manager game, and football managers' lives is not that simple that they set a formation and tactic and use it all the seasons against every single team, no it differs every single game, if you play against weaker teams you attack, stronger teams you defend, teams with the same strength as you you decide whether to attack or defend or normal, you have to decide if you should press higher or retreat back, you have to decide of you wanna play possession short pass game or counter attacking long balls, or possession long balls if you have tree tall forwards.... This all should matter, you have to "study" your opponent, know his strength and weakness, his key players and moves, read his tactics from previous games, and THEN decide how you are gonna play.
What you are doing right now makes the job pretty easy for other tactical opponents, because they will simply play on your weak points, set a counter formation, and beat your team, even if they had weaker players. It is not about the "stars", it's about what every player is asked to do, how and when.
So first of all you need to start thinking differently, and actually understand what top eleven is about. And I am sure you are gonna enjoy this game much more. :)

Now let's talk tactics. 4-5-1 V is one of my favorite formations, it's very good when you have strong wingers, however you have to balance between attack and defense in order to get the best out of it, I can't seem to understand why you would give your DM attacking duties? and at the same time you leave one of your MC without attacking -only- duties, imagine your team is a real life team, let's say Chelsea for example, and they play 4-5-1 V, with Matic as a DM, and Fabregas and let's say Oscar MCs
Basically what you did is give Oscar attacking duties (red arrow) so he plays as AMF when in possession, and Fabregas doing both duties attack and defense depending on who has possession (no arrows) -and to me so far is great-, and you gave Matic the DM attacking duties (red arrow)... could you imagine that for a second on a real pitch? Matic leaving his spot in front of his defenders in order to attack, Oscar and Fabregas are already automatically moving forward to join the attack, leaving only your four defenders alone back there, any counter attack WILL for sure be a goal for your opponent. BUT if you gave Matic defending duties (Blue arrow), he will then stick to position in front of your defenders behind your "attacking" midfielders, and he will sweep any counter attacks played by your opponent when you have lost the ball in their half. I hope you get my point.

Ok, I see now. I made some changes. Today I have a game against weaker team and will try what you said and will update here. From the players i have so far i can switch between 4-5-1 V-style, 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond.
