Personally, I would play down the flanks and go 3w-5-2v with blue arrow on the DMC and red arrows on the AML/AMR but my team is strong on the flanks. I would play 3w in the back so my AML/AMR wouldn't have to come back so much. I would go attacking, zonal, high press, normal tackling, offsides and no counter since your up with an away goal. The blue arrow on the DMC basically makes it an aggressive 4-4-2, which you already had a good result with. If I went up 1-0, I would switch to a 3-5-2 flat, red arrows ML/MR, blue arrow on an MC (that makes it like a 3-5-2v), normal or defensive, down the flanks, low press, normal tackling, counter on, offside off. And later on go more defensive/counter with something like a 3-2-3-2
But really it ALL depends on your personnel and what works best for your team. Play your best formation!

3n-4-1-2 is the same as a 3-5-2 with a red arrow on an MC. Do you have an MC that has AMC positional eligibility? If so, play a 3-5-2 and move the MC to AMC if he switches to a 4-4-2 or just give an MC a red arrow. Makes sense?
