Yes you can beat him.
Use 4-5-1v (4-1dmc-2mc-aml and amr/st)
Defensive mentality
Down the flank passing
Passing style mixed
Zonal marking
Counter attacks on
Hard defending will be best
No you can't. Let's be serious...
Why not? You (almost) share our emblem, and we've managed to beat such teams. Do what Abhinav says.
I was rekt 7:0 :D
7:0 haha never possible with hard defending and low press .But wait 3-4☆ stars squad can conceed that much.
It is possible because he forced counter attacks. I told you once on one of your threads that in some cases you can't allow the opponent to come in your half freely and attack if the attackers are too strong for the defence to handle them.
Defending is one thing, hard defending is another, but the combination of any of those two with force counter-attacks is very different. What might have happened here is that the opponent pushed most of his players up and he out-numbered the defending players. This is one of the possible tactics used to beat a defensive with counter-attacks 4-5-1(V).
Go and experiment for a few months and come back to correct your mistake. I am an experienced user that has used the combination of defensive and counter attacks with a lot of formations including 4-5-1(V) in this game although I don't use this formation a lot these days. Take into consideration that 4-5-1(V) was my main formation for 2 seasons.
Your persistence or stubbornness in not understanding what I have said (which is one of the key in this game that could help you a lot in many future situations) will cost you matches and also will prevent you from finding appropriate tactics to counter some formations. Last year (2015), 4-5-1(V) formation was among my main formations. My team got beaten 2-1 by a lower quality team in a very important match and nothing could be done at that time because I lacked knowledge and experience and also the old system (comments only) was not very helpful to find out how the opponent won. Go on the link of Virtual F.C (see in signature) and have a look at that team and see yourself if it easy to beat such a team that was using 4-5-1(V); yet some opponents did it.
I have shared one of the most important things for the tactical type of manager. In fact, I should have not shared this, but I did so because I wanted and also because you shared a good formation (3-2-2-2-1) which might be helpful to me.
So, make good use of what I said.
I have defeated teams playing with 3-4 defenders many times with counter attacks but never seen losing by 7:0.
And moreover we are not sure what did he used lol
Do not worry too much about that. You'll always find people to tell you that you should do this or that and win. With such a difference in terms of quality, you only had to rely on a miracle. Sometimes miracles happen. Most of the times, they do not. I have never ever lost to a side like yours when I had such a quality advantage. And I won once when being in the other situation butmy opponent had probably dropped his team a while ago and his players were not properly prepared. With an active manager, let us be serious, you just had no chance to win, whatever your tactic is.
We dont know what tactics he followed lol gizmmo
Nothing is impossible but hope must not die
The only thing he could have done is reduce the goal margin by defending well with numbers. The quality difference is enormous in Top Eleven
