Hi All,
I am level 6 manager with total 4 leagues as 1st and 1 league as second. Now season 6 has been started and I have lost both of my opening games against slightly weaker opponents i.e. I am 50 and opponents are around 45. I have tried different formations 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1V but still loosing. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Please can anybody suggest :(
Until this I have never lost 2 games in league.

Hi,consider how each season adds 1 year more to your players,and, if you uplevel, cuts a star to each of them,also.
So you have to keep your players trained for competition,taking care about those that will retire at the end of season.
Level 4,5,6 usually have the most number of retiring players,as in lower leagues you have neither so many resources (= tokens ,cash and academy)
to buy many players,nor negotiations to sell your unused players.
So almost all palyers remain to you until retiring.
if you seem to be ok with your players and formation,please mind about orders you give:
do you prefer playing defensive(High defensive), offensive (High offensive) or normal?
Which other settings do you make to prepare your matches?
In the first levels, you can have a good team and play attack but after some seasons there are more serious managers you meet, who also start knowing better how the game is working.
I think it's time to play more defense meantality.

Id try adjusting your tactics a bit depending on the opponent. I think it can be easy to win against 4 attackers, if you just go defensive and counter. You are playing attacking, but a low press, I'd think about what you want from those.
Are you scoring goals, or conceding goals? Why have you lost those games?
I match I lost with 2-1 and second with 1-0. Unable to score goal and conceding on counter attacks. I think instead of attacking I can go for defensive with counter attack. What do you suggest?Quote:

Thanks Andrew, I will try this. My 2 best players are AML/ST and AMR/ST so I can easily from wings. I will adjust my tactics and will post the results. Thanks for your help.
Until you spend money and buying 7-8 players from the scout-list, your result is all up to the computer. I have played for 2 years now, and the same happens every season. Only cup is all about what team you have, and the only place where you get the result after how strong your squad are. This is the reason why you should never spend money on topeleven, because after season end, your team is as weak as they others. Better start loosing fights in 2 or 3 seasons and at the same time build up your squad by training them. You loose easely by putting your squad in wrong positions.Attachment 66397
Im the same level as him, no recommended players....i also won the treble last year. Won every game, so far, this year.
Just have to ferret around trying to find rests, if yiu dont live somewhere you can watch videos a lot. Within a season or two, you will be strong enough to win anything, play 2 games and train to get 10% bknus every day.

Yes so far winning. After loosing 2 league matches I am on my winning way again. CL, Cup and League. Sticking with formation 4-2MC-3W (AMR-AMC-AML)-1(ST)
Mentality: Attacking
Passing: Mixed
Passing: short
Counters: On
Pressing: :Low
Tackling: Normal
Marking: Zonal
Offside: No
Arrow up front (Red) for DL and DR

You will face difficulty v/s opponent using dmc mostly so use high press lol
TIP: Don't force counter attacks if you will use attacking mentality and no dmc.
Yes with opponent using DMC if my team is not scoring then I switch formation. And thanks for the Tip, I will change this tactics now :)Quote:

Remeber to put backward arrows on midfeilders.
I will like to know what the back and forward arrows do in the formation???
