    wrong 4-3-3 formation

hi I've been playing football manager games since 1995 on the PC and now I don't play games anymore on the PC, because I have consoles...but wanted to tryu this with facebook.

I would like to know why I can't make a 4-3-3 formation like this:

    LW--------ST--------RW
    ----------AMC----------
    -------MC-----MC-------
    DL-----DC-----DC-----DR
    -----------GK-----------

    OR:

    LW--------ST--------RW
    -------MC-----MC------
    ----------DMC----------
    DL-----DC-----DC-----DR
    -----------GK-----------

These are my 2 favorite formation and I can't use them in Top Eleven.
With the two forward wingers (LW and RW) wide against the sideline and the 3 midfielders all play central.

I hate the 4-3-3 in top Eleven with the 3 central strikers!! no team IRL playes like this!!

Also a question about the red arrows...
When I place a red arrow on my DMC, then when in ball possession that DMC will move up one square and becoming a MC.
But how does this translate to the AML and AMR with red arrows? because in front of those positions...there is no square availiable.

At the moment I play this formation:

    -----------ST-----------
    AML----------------AMR
    -------MC-----MC------
    ----------DMC----------
    DL-----DC-----DC-----DR
    -----------GK-----------

But I want those AML and AMR to be LW and RW

Put red arrows on your wingers and they will be wing forwards, that was the official answer from the devs earlier.

    Ok, thanks!!

And what will happen if I put a red arrow on my striker? he will be in the keeper's face? or will he be offside all the time?

No idea. I would never do this, nor put blue arrows on the defenders and goalkeeper. I might experiment with it though, because it might be good for him to stay forward if you're playing long balls to him.

Be warned, this is totally untried and untested lol. He might, as you say, get called offside all the time. I remember a CL match long ago where I put blue arrows on everyone except my ST who had red arrows, though, and I managed to win against a stronger team by playing defensive, counter attacking, long passing football.
