Advice against 3W-1-2-2-2

I really don't get this game.

My league game today, my opponent played 3-1-4-2, so after looking at the counter chart i choose to play 4-5-1 V style.

My team being 99% and my opponent 85%, I watched the game as best i could being at work but i was trounced 5-2.

I haven't conceded 5 goals for more than i can remember.

I have a lot of new players in my team and in the report it said my team had no team spirit, but yet the morale was superb for every player.

Is having a lot of new players a factor in this game, do they have to play together to obtain team spirit???
