I need help with 4-5-1 V formation guys

Hi guys
I have a problem with V style.
Everytime I Use 4-5-1V I lose
Why is that?
They say its the best formation but why I lose? Is something wrong with my tactics?
My tactics are :
Team mentality : normal
Focus passing : through the middle
Passing style : mixed
Force counter attacks : off

Pressing style : high
Marking style : zonal
Tackling style : normal
Offside trap : off

I use no arrows by the way.

Focus passing should be "down both flanks"

Set focus passing down both flanks,mentality defensive if your opponent is stronger,counter on,low pressing and see how it works,adjust tactics during the game if something goes wrong..

I did just like you said. It still doesnt work. I lost to an opponent who was weaker than me, 2-1.
Is something wrong with the arrows?

Playing 45v1 doesn't means that you'll win every match,also i don't know your team,players,how your opponent is playing,how much weaker or stronger are your opponents,there are many things that only you know,you can't win or lose a match only because of the arrows.
