I think you need a strong and more MC to control the game.if you only like 2 choice i will go with V style
i was thinking the same ....i dont like the first choice so much,cause the reason u said
My back up scenario is 3W-3N-2-2.
3w -1(dmc) -3n - 2 (aml/amr) - 1

what do you think about 4-4-2?
i tried it in the first game...even if i had possesion nothing special happened.I changed in 3-5-2 in 2cond half ,i scored but an injury cost me the 1-1...he scored while i was trying to sub.
Didn't also liked my stats .
I will probably go in 3W-5-2 V

4-5-1V normal/flanks/short pass/zonal-red arrows on dl/dr/dmc
tweak in mid game to mixed passing and try every 20 min to change to manonman to see if it effects
*dont touch the aml/r with red arrows and stuff it does not effect them well if any
