How to beat 3-4-1-2 ? Help!

I have 4-4-2 classic and the opponent has 3N-4-1-2...how can i beat him?
Should i play 4-5-1 flat with deffensive mentality, attack on flancs, red arrows on ML, MR, DR, DL and counter-attack?
Or another way...4-1-4-1 and the same tactics i wrote up?
    What do you suggest fellas?

I hope you went with: 4-1-4-1, attacking/normal, attack on flanks, red arrows on ML/MR/DL/DR, no offside, no counter, mixed passing, normal tackle.

In my opinion exploit the flanks with 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.

vs. 3W-4-1-2 i play with 3-5-2. LM/RM up arrow, midle CM down arrow.

    ----ST--ST---
    LM-CM-CM-CM-RM
    ---DC-DC-DC---

    Defensive
    Both flangs
    Our area
    Lighter
    Long passes
    Personal
    >Counter attack

Almost the whole match, I had an advantage in knowing the ball. Except change, another tactical I have not changed. My opponent after my goal changed the formation to 3-4-3 and although my preference able to score 2 goals.

4-5-1 V-style (4 DC, 1 DMC , 2 MC, AML, AMR and ST) if you have wingers or 4-1(DMC)-2(MC)-3ST if you have 3 strikers.

common orders: mentality defensive, force counter attack, pressing in own half, no offside trap, marking zonal

specific orders for 4-5-1 V style: passing mixed or long, focus on the flanks
specific orders for 4-1-2-3: passing long, focus through the middle

    but i prefer 4-5-1V Style
