How to defeat this 4-1-2-1-2 (Narrow diamonds)..!!

One of my league opponents is very strong and he is using 4-1-2-1-2 (Narrow diamonds) formation.
Unfortunately he is also in champions league group.I have faced him twice before and lost both of them

PS: I DON'T HAVE MC's BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN USING ML AND MR IN MY TEAM SINCE LEVEL 1 AND TOPPED BOTH LEAGUES...IS IT NECESSARY TO BUY NEW MC'S OR I CAN DEFEAT HIM USING WHAT I HAVE..

4 DC,2 DR,2 DL, 2 DMC,
2 MR, 2 ML,
2 AMC, 3 ST

Please help me how to defeat him :/

or you can replace that AMC with a 3rd ST

both flanks, red arrows on MR, ML and DMC. full pitch, normal tackle, short passing, zonal.. and buy some MC's soon

3-4-3 down both flanks (attacking formation)
3-1-4-2 down both flanks (neautral)
3-1-4-1-1 mixed/down both flanks (neutral) ! Suggested
4-1-4-1 down both flanks (defensive) ! Suggested
4-1-3-2 mixed (attacking)
3-4-1-2 mixed/down both flanks (neutral/attacking)
3-5-2 down both flanks/mixed (neautral) ! Suggested



All viable. Yes you can use AMC (probably with red arrow). In some cases you HAVE to. Why? Because you take advantage of the extra man/ or you don't allow him to take advantage of the extra defender. eg you have 2 AML/AMR blocked by fullbacks, 2 STs blocked by his 2 DC and his DMC can not help defend freely because he has to man mark AMC. Therefore, if your player escapes his defender its a 3-2 situation favored for you. Also, assuming your fullbacks attack, you may have more favorable situations if you use an AMC since many options are available (short pass to AMC, cross for STs or wingers, etc).

In general:
He uses no wingers, so make him hurt down both flanks.
He uses 2 ST +AMC so you can defend with 3 DC + 1 DMC
If you defend with 4, make sure DL/DR have red arrows (you want to hurt him by focusing both flanks)
If you don't use 2nd ST, try to capitalize on AMC, or even better AMR/AML

Since you don't have MCs, if you feel strong enough, go for 4-2-3-1: put AML, AMR, AMC, 2DMC, 4 backs and make sure you have red DL/DR

But you'll eventually need some MCs so invest in 1 or 2 when you can.

I will be facing a team like this this week. I am 36.1 and he is 27.6. First game I did play 4-4-2 at his place and lost 2-0 but now it's at my place. I have all the players necessary so what would you suggest I should use to be almost sure to beat him up?
