3-4-2-1 Experiment

Hello.
I couldn't find any topic regarding the mentioned formation. 2 weeks ago, I've created second team for testing purpose.
So far the experiment looks better than I've expected.
My questions are... few
Does that formation depends a lot to the wingers, or I can use mixed, since I've put 4 in the mid ?
Are these instructions correct ( home / away ), why and why not ?
Thank you everyone in advance, who decided to write and give their opinions in the subject.

P.S. The team is lvl 1, so far facing mostly bots for now.
