Any formations to beat 4-4-2 other than 4-1-2-1-2?

play defensive, mixed focus passing, whole pitch, long passing, zonal marking, normal tackling, force counter attack.. and dont forget to put red arrow on your midfielders..

    4-5-1 V is not working
I think 4-2-2-2 hexagon may be ok.

If I used 4-4-2 to fight against 4-4-2 is workable?

Use butterfly formation. 3N-2(DML,DMR)-2N-2(AML,AMR)-1. Attacking mentality, attack down both flanks, zonal marking, pressing own half, mixed passing, force counterattacks, no offside traps, normal tackling. Red arrows on AML,AMR, ST. Good luck.

just played an away match against a 4-4-2 system. his average quality was 32,6 mine 32,3...

i decided to use a 4-5-1 V, red arrows on dmc, aml & amr...

    mentality: normal
    passing: mixed, through both flanks
    pressing: own half
    marking: zonal

    +counter attack

i had about 55% ball possession and WON the game 2:4 (0:3), waisting several other chances while he really just had those 2 chances which he converted into his 2 goals...

    cheers
