That formation is effectively a 3-3M-2-2, with a DMC instead of a DL. He intends to squeeze space by pushing up the DL to limit space in all other areas.

Therefore, for me, I would counter that by locking out all space in my own half and only attack that right flank area via 3v2 without defender. 4-1-3WM-AMR-ST like the following:

Defensive/normal, mixed/long, counter on, right flank

Or 4-1-4-1 if you have a very top ST with good ML & MR to attack via flanks. This option is better to hold onto leads than chasing to close a deficit though.
