Liverpool tactics in event

Hi guys. I have last chance in new event and I would love to beat Liverpool team for a 7-8 star player.
My current team is 97%, so not too bad, but Liverpool is 108if I remember correctly.

I know I should wait till the last day in event to improve my players, but what tactics and formation could help me win?
I tried to play 4-3-3 v shape with 1 defensive mid
Defensive, long passes, counter attack on, high press, aggresive tackling, 1vs1 and offside off.
Lost 3-1 but it was not coo competitive.
