My opponent was on 4-5-1v and i start the game with 4-3-2w-1. The ball possesion was 60-40 for me but he put 2 goals in first half. Second half i play with 4-1-4-1 and the game ends 2-2 ( i put 2 goals in 2nd half).
So the best solution for 4-5-1v i think is 4-1-4-1 with red arrows on the flanks .
    Any other suggestion?

4-4-2 for both or 5-3-2 for second one

I've got stuck on 4-5-1V style, always lost to teams used that formation. Any idea to beat this formation???
    Thanks!

    Try 4-1-4-1 ( no AMC/L/R)
Red arrows to DL-DR - ML - MR
    Throw the flanks

if you are better in quality, play the same formation as your opponent. at least you have a draw

3-2-2-2-1 Butterfly might work well, short pass down both flank

I played 2 matches today with my opponent. First match, I used formation 4-2-1-2 AMC-1 against 4-5-1V and won 2-0. Second match I changed to 4-5-1V and my opponetnt was 4-2-1-2(ẢMR-AML)-1, I lost 1-2. Quality is the same, his team is a little bit better.

I must be very unlucky when using 4-5-1V against 442. I usually end up switching to narrow diamond when I'm down a goal and turn the game around.
